Coming to a cinema near you...
Stormhouse, my second feature, got UK distribution and landed on DVD a few weeks back, and is available in most shops.
The Man Inside is my third feature film and I'm happy to say it's playing on 25 cinema screens across the UK.
I appreciate that's not going to give The Dark Knight Returns any sleepless nights, but to me its a major step forward and a big ambition fulfilled.
The film will be showing from Glasgow down thru to the South Coast, and across to Ireland, so hopefully accessible to anyone who would like to see the film.
The film is a labour of love, and I've poured an awful lot of myself into the film, so to see it playing on a big screen is a very big deal to me.
I'm under no illusion that the film is going to be a blockbuster. Its an incredibly hard time for UK film right now, but to even get to cinemas is a huge compliment to everyone who worked so hard to put the film out there.
The film itself was shot for the big screen, so its the best place to see it, if you can.
Being a huge fan of films like The Godfather, I created set pieces with a large cityscape canvas, and tried to bring a grandeur and operatic feel to the film.
There is a Leicester Square premiere of the film ahead of it's release, so I'm currently getting myself psyched for an event that would normally make me run for the hills!
And then there's the reviews...
Thats going to be the toughest part of all. I wrote and directed the film, so I will have to bear the brunt of any negative opinions. It's the one area I'm dreading, as the film will definitely not be to everybody's tastes. But regardless of what people may say I'm very very proud of what I've accomplished.
