ALL OUT WAR!

Aliens are invading our planet. The world will never be the same again.

I've always wanted to write that, let alone film it. but now I can. Hooray!
As a massive fan of sci-fi and horror I grew up both dreaming and having nightmares about what would happen if planet Earth were invaded.

I nearly wet myself as the enormous saucers hung over the Earth in the mini-series 'V', and I discovered that thirty years before that, Hollywood had made a series of B-Movies about alien invasion that I quickly embraced and devoured at tea-time on BBC2.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers, War Of the Worlds, The Day The Earth Stood Still, The Thing and plenty more. All absolute classics. (Their status was denoted by ONE roar from the MGM lion!).

It was quite a few months back now, in this fast-disappearing year, that it was decided that alien invasion was the way to go. The film I'd always dreamed of making.

Yeah, adult drama. Yeah, worthy character piece.
Time to stop hiding behind subtexts and metaphors and put our creative balls on the table for all to see. (nice)

And so Blood Red Sky is born, and I bloody LOVE it!
